DISTANCE TO TRAVEL: 56NM

Embark at 1200 in the yacht’s home port of Gosport in Portsmouth where you will be greeted by your friendly captain and crew.

The Royal Naval dockyard is opposite the marina, there are lots of interesting things to look at such as the two new Navy aircraft carriers for your initial voyage when departing port.

Settle in on board before setting sail out into the Solent, passing the beautiful Isle of Wight whilst following the coastline past Bournemouth, Sandbanks, Poole and the world-renowned Jurassic coast toward Weymouth.

The yacht will berth in Weymouth for an overnight stay at Weymouth Harbour which is only a one-minute walk from the funfair and beach front. Enjoy dinner on board before exploring ashore and returning at your leisure.

Wake up in Weymouth, Dorset and enjoy breakfast on board. You are located in the eastern end of the world-famous Jurassic coast where you will cruise during the afternoon.

Following the stunning coastline, you will pass Exmouth, Torquay and Dartmouth. The yacht will drop anchor and you can head ashore via the tender to visit the picture-perfect town, have an ice cream and return at your leisure for the final voyage around the headland to Plymouth where you will berth for the night and dine on board.

Wake up in Plymouth, where you can discover the fascinating history of this seaside town and eat lunch ashore before returning on board for the next leg of the voyage.

Heading westwards, the yacht will cruise along the Roseland Heritage coastline with its stunning scenery and coastal towns before you sight the famous Pendennis Castle and St Mawes, indicating you have arrived into Falmouth.

Arriving in the early evening, the yacht will moor at Falmouth’s Port Pendennis before dining on board followed by evening drinks in the buzzing harbour.

After breakfast on board, you will set sail and proceed westward around Lizard Point, following the coastline to Penzance and past Land’s End. The yacht will continue into the Atlantic Ocean and sail onto the Isles of Scilly.

The total voyage distance is 50 nautical miles with a high possibility of sighting a pod of dolphins or basking sharks, and when arriving, you will be greeted by 140 spectacular islands, of which only five are inhabited.

The most populated island is St Mary’s, the yacht will berth in Duchy of Cornwall Harbour where you can head ashore and explore the town.

Awaking in St Mary’s, head ashore for a morning coffee and return on board for breakfast before setting sail to explore the Isles of Scilly, a sailor’s paradise with hidden inlets and coves to explore.

There are lots of of anchorages to stop off and launch the water toys, allowing you to make the most of the surrounding crystal-clear waters and white sandy beaches.

The crew will recover the toys after a late lunch and then set sail to the east back to the mainland, passing Wolf Rock Lighthouse on route. Eight nautical miles east of St Mary’s and eight nautical miles southwest of Land’s End, the famous landmark was built in the 1860’s to mark a dangerous rocky outcrop rarely out of the water in the Atlantic swells, causing many shipwrecks. It achieved worldwide publicity in 1972 as the first rock lighthouse to have a helideck constructed on top.

Upon sighting the mainland, sail to Penzance where you will dine on board.

Explore this famous town in the morning and have an early lunch ashore before returning on board to set sail back eastwards to Torquay.

With a relaxed cruise this afternoon, the yacht can stop in one of many secluded harbours filled with local fishing boats and find a deserted bay for use of the water toys to enjoy exploring the beach and coves.

Dine on board before taking the short walk out of Torquay Marina along the sea front of this beautiful town, also known as the ‘English Riviera’, due to its palm tree lined waterfront and continental atmosphere.

DISTANCE TO TRAVEL: 84NM

Wake in Torquay Marina and head out and enjoy breakfast on board as you set sail eastwards to Cowes.

Take in the spectacular views of the Jurassic Coast, passing the Isle of Wight and the iconic Needles point before arriving in Cowes in the afternoon.

Steeped in maritime history, this town is renowned for its Yacht Clubs and nautical charm.

Dine in one of Cowes’ excellent restaurants, all serving delicious locally-caught seafood and offering idyllic sea views. Take some time to explore before returning to the yacht for sundowners.

DISTANCE TO TRAVEL: 8NM

After your last night on board, enjoy another delicious breakfast before departing Cowes for the final cruise through the Solent.

Highlights include the Beaulieu River and Lymington, before returning to the home port for 1130 and 1200 departure.
