Explore the spectacular coastline of the Algarve, Portugal on the charter of a lifetime with West Nautical.

Day 1 – Portimao to Sagres

You will arrive at Faro airport where you will be collected and enjoy a private transfer down to Portimao where you will board the yacht and check in with the captain and crew. Welcome drinks and an introduction to your friendly crew will follow as you embark and head west towards the ancient fishing village of Sagres.

Overlooking some of the Algarve’s most dramatic scenery, this small, elongated village of feels like the edge of the world, with its sea-beaten cliffs high above the ocean decorated with fortresses that connect it to Portugal’s rich nautical past. It's the only place in the world where white storks are known to nest on cliff faces. Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch in one of the marina's restaurants.

Spend the rest of the day sunbathing and enjoying the Algarve’s azure waters.

Day 2 – Ponta Piedade

Begin your morning with a delicious breakfast prepared on board as you cruise towards Ponta da Piedade. These stunning geological formations are one of the Algarve’s most iconic sites. The surrounding waters are crystal clear and are perfect for snorkelling and watersports.

In the afternoon explore the town of Lagos, renowned for its cobbled streets, bustling nightlife and traditional restaurants and cafes.

In the evening enjoy a seafood feast on board or choose to dine in one of Lagos’ marina restaurants. You will anchor in Lagos overnight.

Day 3 – Benagil Cave

This morning you will cruise east from Lagos to discover the most famous cave on the Algarve – Benagil Cave. Sometimes referred to as the Benagil Cathedral because of the naturally occurring arches, this vibrant cave alternates between naturally occurring dazzling oranges, yellows and white rock walls. The orange tones give the water within the cave a beautiful turquoise tone, reminiscent of Pacific waters.

Next you will cruise along the beautiful Algarve coastline, stopping off at a secluded bay for a barbeque lunch, freshly prepared by your crew.

In the evening you will cruise to the largest marina in Portugal: Vilamoura Marina where you will anchor overnight. Disembark and explore the local bars and restaurants before heading back on board for a good night’s rest.

Day 4 – Ria Formosa

In the morning you will depart Vilamoura and continue your journey eastwards, anticipate calmer waters and endless sandy vistas. You will cruise through the incredible Ria Formosa National Park, look out for local wildlife, the area is a bird watchers paradise, if you’re lucky you will spot pink flamingos!

Spend time in the afternoon enjoying the yachts water toys and relaxing before getting ready for a spectacular lunch at Estaminé, commonly known as Ilha Deserta, the only restaurant on a deserted island. The restaurant produces amazing meals from local produce from its solar-powered kitchen.

After an action-packed day return to your private vessel and enjoy the sunset with a glass of champagne in hand.

​Day 5 – Tavira

Once more wake up and get ready to cruise further eastwards, today you will visit what is often described as the ‘prettiest town’ in the Algarve; Tavira.

Tavira lies along the slow flowing Gilão River and is a wonderful blend of traditional Portuguese heritage with deep-rooted Spanish influences. Expect an array of outstanding traditional restaurants, glorious beaches and traditional culture.

The waters surrounding Tavira are perfect for kayaking, paddleboarding and snorkelling. Enjoy a fun filled day of watersports before getting ready for your evening meal in one of Tavira’s many fine restaurants.

Day 6 – Olhos de Agua

Today your captain will begin to journey westwards to access more of the stunning secluded beaches along the main stretch of the Algarve coast, look out for dolphins along the way! The local dolphin population are a sociable bunch and are known to swim alongside vessels whilst travelling at speed.

Stop off for lunch and sunbathing at the small fishing town of Olhos de Agua for lunch and spend the rest of the afternoon cruising up and down the coast with your favourite beverage in hand.

Head back to Lagos for the evening.

Day 7 – Disembark in Portimao

Today marks the start of your final day on board. Speak with your captain to discuss any final anchorages you wish to explore and make the most of your final sun-soaked day in luxury. You will cruise back to Portimao for disembarkation in the afternoon.
