The ancient Greek temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion is a must-visit, built during 444–440 BC, it is one of the major monuments of the ‘Golden Age’ of Athens. A Doric temple, it overlooks the ocean at a height of almost 60 metres.

According to Greek mythology, Aegina took its name from a nymph, whom Zeus fell in love with, and took with him to the island.

Scattered with fishing boats and lined with colourful buildings, Aegina offers a postcard image. It boasts great natural beauty, fascinating archaeological monuments, picturesque villages, and beautiful beaches.

Aegina is home to The Temple of Aphaia and the Temple of Apollo, both spectacular examples of ancient Greek architecture and are definitely worth a visit.

In the town of Aegina itself, you will find a wonderful selection of taverns, shops, and restaurants along the waterfront. Or, perhaps take some time to visit the enticing Kilma beach, a highly renowned snorkelling spot.

The mesmerizing island of Agistri is composed of wonderful beaches, breath-taking landscapes, and luscious nature. It is the perfect anchorage on your yacht charter of the Saronic Islands.

The beaches of Agistri present some of the most beautiful crystal-clear waters and exotic ambiance. Aponissos, Dragonera and the beach of Megalochori are among the best on the Island. Take some time to have a swim in the natural pool at Aponissos or rent a bicycle and cycle through the pine-shadowed roads to Chalikiada beach, the most famous nudist beach on the island.

The port of Skala is also the island’s main town. Here, you will discover a wonderful selection of restaurants, taverns, bars to get a taste of the local delicacies

One of the more secluded stops on your trip takes you to the Methana peninsula, a luscious landscape of dense vegetation, coastal villages, hot springs, and volcanoes.

The peninsula is home to approximately 32 volcanoes with the opportunity to climb the largest crater and take in the views across the Saronic Gulf.

With all the volcanic activity, Methana is home to several natural hot springs. A visit to the Baths of Pausanias is the perfect way to wind down in nature.

The capital of Methana, Chora, is a beautifully picturesque town, filled with Greek tradition and charm. For even more tranquility among the spectacular landscape, visit the smaller seaside village of Agios Georgios to discover hidden Greek gems

Poros is a charming little island, one of the most popular Greek islands for a reason: the natural landscape features 120km of stunning coastlines, luscious forests, and mountainous horizons. In Ancient Greek, “Poros” means small sea passage, describing how the island is separated from Peloponnese by a small sea channel.

Paros Town is filled with winding backstreets, colourful houses, and traditional Cycladic architecture. Here, you will find the Town Hall, the public library and the Archaeological Museum, along with a myriad of wonderful shops, cafés, restaurants and tavernas – the perfect place to enjoy a Greek feast!

After sightseeing, why not surround yourself with tranquil clear-blue waters at one of the famous beaches: Santa Maria, or Golden Beach Paros, or for somewhere more private, there are also many secluded beaches on the island.

Taking its name from the abundant freshwater springs in ancient times, Hydra has become known as the Saronic showpiece.

Despite being one of the most cosmopolitan of the Greek islands, Hydra is car-free. Instead, boats or donkeys are used to get around the island. It is a serene paradise, filled with marble-cobbled lanes and stone mansions.

Hydra town is an elegant place to soak in the Greek atmosphere and get a bite to eat. Stroll around the island, past old monasteries and secluded beaches, or climb to the oldest district of Kiafa, to the 7 windmills at the highest point of Agios Athanasios.

Later, cruise to Molos Bay, a stunning open bay, perfect for swimming or paddle-boarding, before enjoying dinner onboard, watching the sun set over the island

DISTANCE TO TRAVEL: 20NM

Sitting in the heart of the Saronic Gulf, Spetses is an island where luxury and tradition coexist. The island is a joy to explore by foot, or on a romantic horse-drawn carriage, through the cobbled streets and verdant gardens. You will discover the magnificent Poseidonion Grand Hotel, and the Sotirios Anargyros, a mansion guarded by two Egyptian Sphinxes.

Take in the 200-year-old captain mansions, surrounded by intricate stone designs and stunning grounds, or visit the Monastery of Saint Nicholas, to discover the traditions of the wives of sailors. You can also visit one of the oldest lighthouses in Greece, still used today.

The Old Harbour hosts cafés, restaurants, and romantic terraces, the perfect spot to enjoy some Greek cuisine and fine wine, whilst soaking in the atmosphere of the island’s past.
