Welcome to Australia! Located on the far North Queensland coast, Cairns is the heart of Tropical North Queensland and gateway to the Great Barrier Reef. You will embark in Cairns Marlin Marina where you will be welcomed by your outstanding crew.

The tropical climate in Cairns ensures you’ll have warm weather to enjoy all the activities the region is famous for like diving, snorkelling, reef tours and more.

After settling in on board you will head out to discover one of the seven natural wonders of the world; the Great Barrier Reef. Home to over 1,500 species of fish, 134 species of sharks and rays, over 30 species of marine mammals and six out of seven or the world’s turtle species.

This morning, you will wake up anchored off Agincourt Reef after making the passage overnight.

After breakfast, you will cruise north along the inside of the Great Barrier Reef to Agincourt Reef where you can snorkel and kayak. Fishing charter boats and local guides can also be arranged for a day of deep-sea game fishing at Escape Reef.

There are more varieties of fish living on the Great Barrier Reef than in any other marine ecosystem on earth, so you are likely to see, meet and catch bigger and more diverse varieties of fish than anywhere else on the planet.

After lunch on board, you will cruise to the next dive site located off the phenomenal Ribbon Reefs, a string of narrow reefs that are an almost unbroken barrier running parallel to the Queensland coastline.

Swim in the waters at ‘Steve’s Bommie’, a legendary location and isolated pinnacle southwest of Ribbon Reef, expect to see reef sharks, rays, schools of trevally, anemone fish, stone fish, nudibranchs, colourful corals and more.

After another action-packed day enjoy dinner and cocktails on board.

You will make an overnight passage for an early arrival at Pixie’s Reef, located between Ribbon Reefs 9 and 10, it is renowned for its exceptionally clear waters perfect for underwater photography. The view will also be phenomenally clear from the yacht’s submersible.

There are a number of different dive sites here for those of varying diving abilities, including Pixie’s Cave, Pixie Gardens and Pixie Pinnacle. Spend the afternoon at anchor at Dynamite Pass snorkelling another world-class site at Cod Hole, alongside Australia’s infamous giant potato cod who are used to friendly divers and can be handfed.

At sunset, the yacht will move to Lizard Island, allowing you to feel the heat of the Australian sunshine. Arrive at Lizard Island, an exclusive resort with 24 private beaches and the largest of six islands making up the Lizard Island National Park.

Dine in one of the island’s outstanding restaurants serving local produce and then anchor in the designated Lizard’s Island anchorage. Turning the underwater lights on the yacht which should attract huge grouper and schools of trevally off the stern all night long.

Wake up at anchor off Watson’s Bay, enjoy breakfast on board or head out for an early morning swim and take in the views of the enchanting Clam Garden, with its beautiful sea of giant clams. Return to the yacht and you will make your way to the mainland for an excursion to Cooktown, the site of Australia’s first indigenous settlement.

Take the tender ashore to climb the 162m up Grassy Hill – Captain Cook’s Lookout, for 360-degree scenic views out across the Southwest Rocks. Between August and October you might catch sight of humpback whales and dolphins as they swim past the headland, many species of birdlife and wild flower can also be spotted.

There are plenty of cultural sites to visit in Cooktown, including the Grassy Hill Lighthouse, the James Cook Historical Museum, Natures Powerhouse and the Botanical Gardens to name but a few.

Alternatively, take a walk along one of the many walking trails to Walkers Bay.

There is also the opportunity for windsurfing here, but finish in good time to make the most of the daylight with a short scenic helicopter ride before sunset to really appreciate the panoramic colours of the reef from above the waterline.

Start the day with a relaxing swim in the turquoise shallows of the Mackay Reef. Take a little time to relax and appreciate the Great Barrier Reef by exploring the coastline on paddle board or kayak, or simply enjoy the views from on deck.

Heading west to the coast, you’ll want to take a private tour of the rainforest scenery of the Daintree National Park and Cape Tribulation. If you’ve ever wanted to see what Australia looked like when dinosaurs roamed, Cape Tribulation is where you’ll find out. This breathtaking coastal region is the very spot where the world’s oldest rainforest collides with the spectacular Great Barrier Reef.

The Daintree Rainforest contains the oldest surviving rainforest in the world, untouched by urban development and littered with mountainous scenery and breathtaking sights and experiences.

The best time to take a rainforest tour is in Australia’s summer, between December and February when it’s at its most luxurious with the rivers and waterfalls flowing, but it is a sight to behold all year long.

Spend the morning exploring Port Douglas eating, shopping at the boutiques or relaxing at one of the town’s fantastic day spas.

In the afternoon you will cruise further south to Kuranda. Known for its location, Kuranda has been attracting elite, adventurous travellers from across the globe for centuries. Home of the Barron Falls, which are beautiful in their own right, Kuranda is now the source of a thriving arts and culture scene.

From relaxed local markets selling local handicrafts, to the spectacular views fuelled by the rainforest that surrounds it, Kuranda is a buried treasure in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef.

Activities on offer include taking a ride of the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway or Kuranda Railway and white-water rafting along the Tully River.

After an adventure filled day choose to either dine ashore, there are several restaurants with spectacular rainforest views, or enjoy dinner on board.

DISTANCE TO TRAVEL: 180NM

You will arrive in Townsville this morning after making the overnight passage from Kuranda. Get ready to head out to discover one of the world’s best dive sites; the historic S.S Yongala Wreck.

Exploring the S.S. Yongala is a diving experience matched by few other places on the planet. The combination of the wreck’s mysterious history and the vast amount of resident marine life make the Yongala a must-do bucket list dive. On 23 March 1911, 122 passengers on board the S.S. Yongala were lost at sea. A seven day search found no trace of the missing vessel, and for almost 50 years the Yongala was lost to the ocean. How the Yongala sank still remains a mystery today.

Marine life you can expect to see on the wreck includes maori wrass, giant trevally, chevron barracuda, Queensland groper, moray eel, three different types of ray and three different types of sea turtle.

After the dive take time to relax on deck, sunbathing and making the most of the yacht’s amenities, or if you’re still feeling energetic make the most of the extensive collection of water sports equipment.

Today you will discover the Whitsundays after another overnight passage. Located on the southern part of the Great Barrier Reef National Park and named by Captain Cook, the group of 74 islands were discovered in 1700 on the second Sunday of Easter. Nowadays, only 8 of them are inhabited with resorts and the Whitsundays represent the largest group of offshore islands in Australia.

Known as Ngaro country, the Whitsundays reflect the aboriginal presence throughout its territory, archaeological research points to 8000 years of Aboriginal habitation in the region.

With an array of activities offered in absolutely unique surroundings, the area offers some of the best charter experiences. Manta ray bay is one of the best places to snorkel in the Whitsundays. Descend amongst the magnificent large hump headed maori wrasse which can be hand fed or the resident bat fish. Keep a look out for dolphins, whales, turtles and stingrays, which live and hide in the rich and beautiful mangrove that can be visited by kayak.

Often named the most beautiful beach in the world, a trip to Whitehaven beach is a must, the sand is made of 98.9% pure silica and makes an intriguing squeaking noise when walked upon.

Hike the surrounding area to discover hidden waterfalls and whirlpools offering the best views and postcard-perfect photographs. Head back to the yacht after day filled with discovery for dinner and drinks.

DISTANCE TO TRAVEL: 20NM

This morning you will visit Hamilton Island, the largest inhabited island of the Whitsundays. Although it only measures 5km. It is great base equally for relaxation or for the surrounding reefs.

For land-based activities there are multiple spas, tennis courts, quad biking tracks and great hiking trails that offer panoramic views of the island. For keen golfers, the Hamilton Island Golf Club is the only Australian 18-hole championship course on its own island.

In the afternoon you will cruise to Neck Bay, located in the Lindeman Group and tucked between Shaw and Lindeman Island. The bay is home to a diverse range of corals, marine life, mammals and birds, a haven for wildlife enthusiasts.

Snorkel, paddle board, kayak and swim in the island’s beautiful warm water, take a walk across the bay and the “neck” from west to east, or sunbathe on a secluded beach covered by unusual polished shells and coral varieties.

You will spend the night at anchor sheltered in Neck Bay.

DISTANCE TO TRAVEL: 16NM

After sunrise, you will cruise north to Hook Island. Hook Island combines a “wilderness” styled resort with soul - refreshing forest walks, pure blue waters and white silica beaches.

The Aboriginal rock art at Nara Inlet, created by the original Ngaro people, is superb and worth a visit. Nara Inlet also features a stunning 30-minute walk leading to breathtaking views.

In the afternoon you will cruise south towards Long Island. An exclusive passage, cruising the Long Island Sound will immerse you in lush bushland descending into the ocean and creating the perfect colour pallet, stopping off for snorkelling and sunbathing along the way.

Continue onto Cid Island, where kayaking through the mangrove is a popular activity in the afternoon. Katoomba Bank, on the North of the island sets scene for some jaw -dropping sunsets, anchor in front of Hill Rock Reef or Cid Harbour for a quiet evening and overnight.
