8 guests joined West Nautical's Geoff and Shaun Moore at the Rugby Union Autumn International match between England and South Africa at Twickenham

West Nautical have a close link with Rugby as they sponsor South Shields and Westoe Rugby Club, who are based close to the company office in Newcastle. Geoff and Shaun Moore (no relation!) share a name but are both fierce supporters of their home nations! Shaun, a naive of Johannesburg in South Africa, was delighted to see the match and was hopeful of the countrys continued dominance over England as they had not lost a match against the hosts in the past 10 years. Geoff was more hopeful of a home triumph since the team had won their previous 9 matches in a row, and despite having a number of injuries, they were in good form.

Joining the West Nautical "Moores" were a selection of the company's clients, including 2 Captains, a fuel supplier and refit yard, PWC Director Nic Arnold, Clyde&Co. Partner John Leonida and Laura Torr, a sales marketing executive for One Ocean Port Vell in Barcelona.

Meeting 2 hours before kick off for corporate hospitality, the group filled the air with social conversation with two main topics, rugby and yachts!

The match itself was of high quality with some excellent attacking play and 6 tries scored. England were the victors with the score line being 37-21 after a tense first half where South Africa started well and were 6-0 up early on, keeping the crowd of 81,221 entertained!

Following the final whistle, the group went into Twickenham town for some refreshments and enjoyed an excellent Indian meal before some people departed and the remainder continued to enjoy the towns buoyant atmosphere on the banks of the River Thames.
