West Nautical in full “Charitable” swing
West Nautical in full “Charitable” swing

West Nautical was in full charitable swing when we attended the 2nd Annual Superyacht Charities ball held at St Mary’s Stadium in Southampton last weekend.

Alongside over 400 generous and giving industry peers, the event was a huge success raising over £45,000 for the chosen charities. The Superyacht Charities (SYC) started back in 2012, following the growth and success, the charity is now a registered foundation. The event supports Cancer research, Sail4Cancer and support groups alike.

West Nautical's table was kindly hosted by the team at Quinton Trust International, CEO Morris Hazel and Senior Manager Jodie Beecroft and joined by Hill Dickinson, Monro Financial Mangement and Centtrip. Our Managing Director Geoff Moore said “It was great to attend the Superyacht charities ball for the second time and show West Nautical’s support for the three superb charities that are so relevant to our wonderful industry. The event was superbly managed by the dedicated volunteer team, with a great choice of entertainment that kept us all entertained into the early hours before being whisked away into the city for the after party! Well done to everyone involved, but more importantly, we’re delighted to support the charities who do such excellent work, and hope that the money raised gives them the opportunity to continue their great work”.

The work of the Superyacht Charity Foundation will not only to be directly host events, it will also be a conduit through which others can promote their charitable ventures and raise more much needed funds, so visit www.superyachtcharities.com and contact info@superyachtcharities.com for further information.
