West Nautical recently hosted the exhilarating Drive and Dine event on Friday 19th July, an immersive experience that delighted enthusiasts of luxury vehicles, picturesque landscapes, and gourmet cuisine. Partnering with the renowned Aston Workshop, the event offered guests an unforgettable journey through the North East, highlighted by exclusive tours, scenic drives, and exquisite dining.

Morning Kick-Off at Aston Workshop

The day began at 9:15 AM at the Aston Workshop, where guests were greeted with a tour of the workshop. Here, they witnessed the craftsmanship behind the iconic Aston Martins, observing the meticulous restoration and maintenance processes of these classic cars. Breakfast followed, providing a perfect start to the day's adventure.

Cruising Northumberland's Finest Roads

Following breakfast, the convoy of supercars and classic Aston Martins set off to explore some of Northumberland's most scenic routes. The drive offered breathtaking views and exhilarating experiences on the open roads, with the first stop being Otterburn Castle at noon.

Refreshments and Relaxation at Otterburn Castle

Upon arrival at Otterburn Castle, guests enjoyed refreshments and the opportunity to explore the castle's beautiful grounds. The historic setting provided a serene interlude before the group continued their journey further north.

Discovering Ad Gefrin Distillery

By 1:30 PM, the group reached Ad Gefrin in Wooler. Here, guests were treated to an in-depth tour of the distillery, gaining insights into the whisky production process from grain to cask. They learned about Ad Gefrin's dedication to preserving Northumberland's Anglo-Saxon heritage and the significance of becoming part of their Corenkyn (Chosen Family) community.

Exclusive Dining Experience

The event culminated with an exclusive dining experience at the distillery. Guests enjoyed a three-course meal prepared by Ad Gefrin's Head Chef, paired with a presentation from West Nautical about the world of superyacht charters. This session provided valuable insights into the charter process and the luxurious experiences offered by West Nautical.
