West Nautical Attends Superyacht Charities Ball 2018

West Nautical was delighted to support this year’s Superyacht Charities Ball.

Organised in aid of charities Sail 4 Cancer and Turn To Starboard, the event took place at the Hilton at the Agnes Bowl Southampton hotel, with the evening raising over £70,000 for these fantastic causes.

Set up in 2001, Sail 4 Cancer organises water-based holidays and respite days for families affected by cancer, with charity Turn To Starboard offering RYA sailing courses to support serving and retired Armed Forces personnel who have been affected by military operations.

In addition to hosting a table for ten, West Nautical was delighted to offer two places at this year’s Captain’s Command and Control Training Course in the evening’s auction, which raised over £3,000 for the charities. The prizes were won by Alexander Whitty and Dean Pilatti, Captain of MY Jaguar.

Speaking of the event, managing director, Geoff Moore said: “We have supported this fantastic cause for several years now and were delighted to attend again this year.

“Our Captain’s Control and Command Training Course auction prizes raised over £3,000 for the foundation and I would like to thank both of the winning bidders for their generous donations.”

A registered foundation, Superyacht Charities was launched in 2012 to generate funding for charitable causes from donations and support from the superyacht industry. Further information can be found at http://superyachtcharities.com/.
