The West Nautical team had a fantastic night at the Alan Shearer Foundation Ball at the Hilton Hotel in Gateshead on Saturday 9th March, which brought together special guests and corporate partners in support of raising funds for the charity.

West Nautical were delighted to contribute three superyacht experiences to the auction to raise money for the amazing charitable work the foundation does for the The Alan Shearer Centre  in Newcastle, that allow it to continue to provide free sensory, therapeutic, leisure, and social activities for over 5,000 families.

The Alan Shearer Foundation serves as a bridge between the funds raised and the care provided by St Cuthbert’s Care at The Alan Shearer Centre. Thanks to the support of donors, the centre continues to provide essential, life-enhancing services and experiences free of charge to those who need them most.

The money donated helps keep these services running smoothly and ensures that they remain completely free. Without the support of the Alan Shearer Foundation, the centre would not have been able to provide these critical services for thousands of people over the years. Fundraising events, donations, corporate sponsorships, and raffles enable the foundation to sustain and grow this support, providing St Cuthbert’s Care with the resources to invest in new facilities, maintain existing infrastructure, and deliver expert care tailored to the needs of every individual.

Presented by former Newcastle United goalkeeper and teammate of Alan Shearer, Stephen Harper, 340 guests, including the likes of Newcastle United footballer Dan Burn, came together to support this wonderful cause. The evening involved entertainment such as performances from the Jersey Boys and a series of exciting auctions, with spectacular prizes to be bid on.

West Nautical were delighted to contribute to the auction: a charter trip on superyacht, Voyager, a charter on motor yacht Bacchus, and a cruise along Newcastle's iconic River Tyne.
