Built in 2006 by Couach, 30-metre Lady Amanda offers the best selection of onboard toys around and one of the sportiest crews. Fresh from a significant 2021 interior and exterior refit, the yacht is in great condition.
Lady Amanda’s impressive leisure and entertaining facilities have made her a well-known and popular fixture on the charter scene. Her owner is particularly passionate about water sports; therefore, Lady Amanda boasts a selection of toys better than that of many 45-metre yachts.
These include two 5.5-metre tenders, a 5-metre slide, a Flite board AIR 175litre, a Flyboard, an ocean pool with jellyfish protection net, a golfing pad with biodegradable balls, a balloon blast, a crane swing, PWC, seabobs, immotor electric scooter, an SJ pro SUP package, paddleboards, snorkelling and fishing equipment, water-skis, wakeboards, a wake skate, and a doughnut amongst others. There is also a Mavic pro platinum air drone and a Power Ray power vision sub drone to immortalise the guest experience.
Lady Amanda accommodates 10 guests in four ensuite cabins.
The classic interior from Franck Reynaud is light and inviting, with calming neutral whites and polished woods the dominant theme. The yacht also boasts plenty of outdoor deck space across the aft deck, foredeck and large flybridge with Jacuzzi.
With a cruising speed of 26 knots and maximum speed of 30 knots, Lady Amanda is able to cruise between locations in comfort and style, enabling guests to experience a large area of coastline in a short space of time, perfect for those who want to explore places ashore as well. A crew of four ensures smooth running and a memorable guest experience.
Although still young, captain Ashley has accumulated over 12 years’ experience in the yachting industry already, across multiple boats up to 60-metres. Fastidious in his approach to onboard welfare and safety, Captain Ashley says: "The safety and training of this crew and vessel are only matched by the amount of fun and games offered to the guests on board."
Captain Ashley Oberholzer is British born and was raised in France on his parents 20m charter boat "Champagne Charlie" for 13 years off the Riviera coast.
Ashley has now accumulated over 13 years of professional yachting experience after his career debut in 2008, progressing from deckhand through to engineer and on to the captain’s seat. Ashley has worked on boats ranging from 20m to 60m, covering most of the Mediterranean Sea.
He is an expert water sports instructor and avid explorer. His crew are his family, and the sea is his home. "The safety and training of this crew and vessel are only matched by the amount of fun and games offered to the guest on-board."
I’d have to say my favourite thing about being captain on board Lady Amanda is being able to go look for little hidden spots to drop anchor to keep surprising guests.
I’d have to say what sets her apart from other charter boats is the big water sports selection that we have on board. I don’t think there are many boats that have as many toys as we have and the fact that she is quite a fast boat so our cruising speed is 21 / 22 knots so we get from A to B pretty fast so you can have fun all day on the toys.
I am a big fan of Sardinia. Sardinia is quite beautiful, there are some incredible places to drop anchor and play but if I had the choice to take the boat somewhere it would probably be Greece just because I haven’t spent enough time there.
There are not many requests that surprise me anymore, but we did end up following a pod of dolphins for hours off course off our itinerary which was quite interesting.
It’s pretty hard to choose one particular favourite toy because we have so many, and they are all so different. I think my favourite toy is probably the wake skate because it feels like surfing but now, we have the jet surf so maybe it will change. I suppose for the guests, the one that comes up the most, would be the sea bob. The sea bob is just great for everyone, and you give that to someone, and they are busy for hours having endless amounts of fun.
I think every crew member has their time to shine depending on what activities are happening.
We’ve had a few, filming the fireworks with the drone in Cannes was incredible and we have great footage of that. Following a pod of 50 dolphins or coming back on the last day of a charter, we crossed paths with whale, some turtles, and a shark, it was quite spectacular.
It’s at the end of every season when I know that we’ve put in maximum effort.
