Superyacht ‘A2’ Mulder 98 Flybridge Sold by West Nautical
Superyacht ‘A2’ Mulder 98 Flybridge Sold by West Nautical

Yacht A2 has been sold by West Nautical in an internal deal representing both the buyer and seller.

Geoff Moore, West Nautical Managing Director said:

"A2 is a truly excellent example of a classic all-aluminium Dutch motor yacht.
She is in an 'as new' condition, having only completed 550 miles until the original ownership, and is in immaculate condition for her new owner to enjoy this summer. It has been a delight to work with the buyer and his team to conclude this deal swiftly and successfully. We congratulate the new owner and his family on a wonderful purchase and wish them happy sailing!"

West Nautical's targeted marketing strategy and participation in the major industry event, Monaco Yacht Show, was a contributing factor to the sale as this is where the Australian buyer first visited the yacht in September 2016.

She was delivered to the new owner in 'as new' condition, having only completed 550 miles, and there are 190 hours on the engines and just 750 on the generators.

Built at the Mulder Shipyard, a yard with a motor yacht building pedigree of over 75 years, A2 is a wonderful example of quality Dutch craftsmanship. At launch, this Mulder 98 Flybridge was the largest flybridge that the yard had ever built and it has become a prize of their fleet. Meticulously designed and finished by an unrivalled team, A2 strongly exhibits the seakeeping and sophisticated elegance typically found in larger yachts, but in a tidy 30m package.

Constructed from aluminium, A2's timeless profile comes from the drawing board of renowned Dutch designer Guido de Groot, the man behind many of Mulder's most successful builds. With classic lines and a complementary anthracite-coloured hardtop, the yacht is well-proportioned and easily balances indoor and outdoor living spaces. From a technical point of view, Ginton Naval Architects has ensured that A2 is reliably seaworthy, efficient and well-conceived. By designing the hull around the propellers and shafts, it has been possible to maximize efficiency while reducing noise and vibrations. She boasts a cruising speed of 15 knots with a top speed of 22 knots.

Inside, Omega Architects has created a comfortable interior that effortlessly toes the line between contemporary chic and classic. Mulder's high quality outfitting sees stained walnut meet brushed nickel, while Tai Ping carpets and linen, silk, leather and wool soft furnishings from top names like Dedar, Pierre Frei, Elitis and Spinneybeck help bring together stylishly welcoming spaces.

The layout ensures a feeling of light and openness. The main deck salon is perfect for family gatherings or meetings, and is paired with a forward dining area for eight, alongside an enclosed and highly specced galley. Outside, the signature flybridge includes chic lounge chairs, snug sofas and a wet bar with grill, ice machine and refrigerator for alfresco entertaining. The well-appointed master suite is located amidships on the lower deck, with a generous walk-in closet and large oval windows. Forward, one ensuite VIP and two ensuite guest cabins also provide luxurious accommodation. The four crew are well looked after in comfortable cabins down aft, with a separate crew mess area away from the guest accommodation.

A2 was lying in Sanremo, Italy and was listed for EUR 5,950,000
