Superb charter performer AUBREY for sale

The beautiful 28.7 Maiora AUBREY recently joined the West Nautical sales fleet. It was a pleasure to speak with her captain, Gary Morton, on why she represents an excellent purchase opportunity for yacht buyers seeking a turnkey solution for the 2020 Mediterranean season.

Built in 2012 and maintained in excellent condition, Aubrey underwent a cosmetic refit in 2017 and is in show condition ready for this summer. She is extremely well priced at €2,450,000 for popular builder such as Maiora.

Captain Morton said: “Aubrey is beautifully presented throughout, and the current owner has gone to great lengths to ensure that the yacht is in top condition both mechanically and aesthetically to minimise any issues not only for himself and his family, but for charter guests who come on board. She is in show condition and now would be the ideal time for a potential buyer to visit the yacht and arrange a sea trial.”

Aubrey features a bright contemporary interior with a large main salon incorporating lounging and dining areas. The soft seating area has an inviting L-shaped sofa, perfectly positioned to enjoy the large TV which rises from inside a sideboard on the starboard side. A glass dining table in the forward section of the salon accommodates eight guests who enjoy bright light flooding in from large windows.

When asked about charter guest reaction to AUBREY, captain Morton commented: “Guests coming on board immediately like the layout of the yacht and the light, airy modern décor and the beautiful wood floor in the main salon. She is a very stylish yet relaxed and comfortable yacht to enjoy.”

The Maiora design means that AUBREY has lots of comfortable space internally, and ample room for relaxing or entertaining. Maiora yachts are known to perfectly combine clean and timeless lines with stylish design - something clearly evidenced in AUBREY.

AUBREY provides accommodation for 10 guests in four ensuite cabins comprising a full-beam master suite, VIP suite with a large skylight, and two twin cabins with Pullman beds. The lower deck accommodation feels inviting, spacious and very comfortable – moreso than many yachts of her size due to her light and bright contemporary finishing and the light that floods the space. The master suite aft is large with lots of storage, while the elevated VIP cabin forward is a real treat, flooded with light through the skylight.

Externally, AUBREY boasts a large foredeck lounging area with a retractable bimini top, which has proven to be a favourite spot for relaxation and sunbathing in the sun or shade. Captain Morton added: “People love stretching out and relaxing in this space when the yacht is underway or chilling out at anchor.”

Her main deck aft features a large dining table for alfresco dining and entertaining but one of the standout features of AUBREY is her large and very well laid out sundeck, which has large sun pads, a shaded dining table for eight guests, with a large bar area. The flybridge also has large bench seating and two pilot chairs for guests to enjoy while cruising.

Asked about recent works to AUBREY, captain Morton explained: “All of the teak has recently been sanded, re-caulked and oiled. The paint has been polished, and she is looking beautiful. The white carpets on the lower deck are in like-new condition. Mechanically, a tremendous amount of time and effort have been put into ensuring that the yacht is in excellent mechanical condition as part of our annual maintenance program. This included a software update and refurbishment of the stabilizer system.”

In our view, AUBREY represents an excellent purchase opportunity for an investment-minded buyer. She has proven a serious charter performer in past years and has fielded over 50 charter enquiries thus far, for the 2019 Mediterranean summer season. She is commercially registered and priced to sell at €2,450,000 and will no doubt be a great yacht for her lucky new owner.
