Fairline: overview of the most popular options
Fairline: overview of the most popular options

After having gained rich experience in sales, West Nautical experts, backed by numbers and facts, tried to give some practical advice about this subject.

The most popular option requested also on basic Fairline models is the air conditioning. Actually the air conditioning is included in the basic package of the older models Squadron 65 and Squadron 68. On the contrary on all flybridge Squadron and sportive Targa it is installed as an optional. And even if Russian are not fans of coolness such as customers from the USA or the Middle East, the air conditioning is still the most relevant option while ordering a new Fairline.

Soon after the air conditioning in the options ranking there is the request for more powerful engines. Today Fairline prefers Volvo Penta and in fact they are installed on every yacht up to 60 feet. If it were possible the shipyard would install them also on older models, but Volvo doesn’t produce engines with sufficient power for yacht with hull length of 65 and 78 feet. At the moment of booking it’s very common to have requests for more powerful engines than basic ones for all model without exception. As a rule, future owners prefer to increase the capacity of their yachts‘ heart.

Scrolling through the list, the third relevant option is navigation devices. Navigation set and TV for each of the guest cabin are booked in 80% of cases. Where thruster device is not installed on board within the basic set, then almost in every case it is ordered from the factory.

The most popular item which deserves additional expense on optional is the yacht interiors and exteriors. Here in most cases extra lights are installed for furniture on the sundeck and in the lounge both at bow and aft, as well as underwater lights for a brighter hull. Slightly less popular is the option for decks’ teak finishing.

About interiors Fairline has four different collections of finishing for the basic model line: Sport, Classic, Elegance and Prestige. Every collection proposes an impressive choice of high-quality tissues, woods, first class leather. However each future yacht owner will not limit himself by selecting one of those collections since options from various collections can be easily combined with any other model of the Fairline series.  It’s an exclusive matter of taste. As a result, glossy varnish and glossy finishing are not equally ordered – Espresso Gloss, Quartz Gloss also with walnut and oak wood. The same happens along floors and main saloon where someone prefers parquet, while others carpet with long nap. What is clear is that within the interiors no one saves money on music and on entertainment systems while easily ordering a Bang & Olufsen.

Do not forget about “water toys”. The majority of customers choose Williams RIB (inflatable motor boats). However watercrafts are less common both in the garage and on the swimming platform, while on any of the older Fairline models there is the popular Seabob scooter for snorkeling.
