2025: Our Year in Review

2025 has marked another outstanding year of growth for West Nautical. First and most importantly, we have ensured that all of our clients have received the excellent service which they have grown to expect. From brilliant sales results to memorable yacht charters, the West Nautical team have maintained the utmost professionalism and determination to provide high quality service.

Not only this, but 2025  has seen the expansion of our Monaco based team and office, welcoming eight fantastic new team members across all departments within the company, along with progress on some very exciting  yacht refit and newbuild management projects.

The year's beginning set a precedent for how the team meant to go on, with early events such as Boot Dusseldorf in January and the Dubai International Boat Show in February. These events gave the West Nautical team the chance to expand their knowledge and relationships, forging new partnerships and a series of exciting projects internationally.

March saw an exciting collaboration with Albatross Golfing holidays, where West Nautical sponsored the Gleneagles Pairs, a two-day event at the prestigious former Ryder and Solheim cup venue. Attendees included football legend Alan Shearer, who joined on the Sunday following an emotional Saturday spent at the Newcastle United Carabao Cup parade and celebrations.

We were also able to provide support to local charities as attendees and supporters of the Alan Shearer Foundation Ball, where a lucky bidder secured a charter on board yachts in the West Nautical charter fleet, and a luxury mini cruise along the iconic River Tyne.

As the boat show season began, the schedule got busier, with April and May bringing events such as the MYBA Charter Show, which allowed our team to explore some of the finest yachts in class for clients to charter ahead of the season ahead. 2025 also saw the 10th edition of the Mediterranean Yacht Show in beautiful Nafplion, which certainly did not disappoint on its anniversary.

To celebrate a brilliant start to the year and to reward the team for their consistent hard work, the Newcastle based offices took a moment to enjoy boating themselves, with cruises for the whole team right through the heart of the River Tyne in Newcastle, passing the city's world-renowned bridges along the way, sailing all the way to the sea.

The relaxation did not last for long however, when some of the biggest yachting industry shows fast approaching. Cannes Yachting Festival allowed for the West Nautical Team to show some of its own fleet, such as Lady Amanda. As a legend of the charter game, due to her extensive range of water toys, she stood proudly in the Southern French waters, ready for all guests to view.

Within the United Kingdom, some of the West Nautical team were able to attend the country's biggest boat show in September; Southampton Boat Show, to view national dealers' impressive array of yachts and accessories.

Following the UK's biggest boat show was Europe's: Monaco Yacht Show. Our team was on the ground, connecting with industry leaders, exploring cutting-edge designs, and uncovering new opportunities for our clients. Over 30,000 visitors and more than 560 exhibitors gathered, with an average yacht length of around 50 metres, setting the stage for the very best in design, innovation and luxury.

October brought another hugely successful Captain's Command and Control course, where delegates flew in from yachts all around the globe to take part in our industry-renowned simulator course. Knowledge, patience and character were tested in high pressure scenarios, and we're delighted to say we received wonderful feedback once again.

With show season over the West Nautical Monaco team joined the No Finish Line Charity Walk in Monaco in November, with 8,500 steps each and raising money for a very worthy cause, organised by the Children & Future association, where the funds are distributed to various projects locally and internationally.

The same week of November saw other members of the team head to the UAE, one of the places in which the year started, with the second instalment of the Albatross Pro-Am event, which was again sponsored by West Nautical, this time in Dubai. The event showcased some of the most impressive golfers, in a beautiful setting which showcased the true meaning of tranquility, high-quality and luxury in a competitive setting.

The team also took this time to attend the Abu Dhabi Boat Show, which had some wonderful yachts and technology on display.

As the year came to a close, the team attended the North East Marketing awards in December, as finalists in the category 'In House Marketing team 1-6 Members', testament to the marketing team's hard work and high quality output across company-wide materials.
