West Nautical is recruiting a Temporary Captain for a 55m Charter/Private Vessel.

The Vessel will be crossing from the Caribbean to the Mediterranean then the Vessel will have a brief maintenance period in Livorno, Italy so the Candidate should have Crossing & Shipyard experience as well as experience working with Management and Family Offices.

The successful Candidate will have a thorough understanding of all relevant shipping rules, regulations and codes and be generally safety orientated, history of a claim free Insurance and show an understanding of how various engineering systems work on board. The ability to prepare monthly & annual budgets to a strict criteria and adhere to them. Previous experience with Voly is preferred, but any form of accounting software is required.

The Vessel is looking for a strong Leader to inspire and teach Officers & Crew.

Start date: 30 March 2025

Qualifications: STCW, AFF, ENG1, PDSD, Master 3000 GT, Proficiency In Medical Care, GMDSS & ECDIS Furuno

Visas: Schengen
