West Nautical are delighted to announce that we have promoted from within and our team has further expanded with two new members of staff in our UK offices.

West Nautical, superyacht sales, charter and management company with two new head offices in Newcastle upon Tyne, are delighted to announce a promotion within the company as well as the addition of two new members of staff.

Lee Bury, who has been with the company for several years as Yacht Accountant, has been promoted to Head Accountant and will be overseeing all European accounts for the company including all sales and charter accounting and yacht management held funds for the clients.

With seven years of human resources and customer service experience under her belt, Kay Small joins the West Nautical team as their new Office Manager. Her previous roles in the automotive and building industries leave her well-poised to deal with the fast-paced environment of yachting, where she will now oversee all daily operations of the West Nautical office. She will be working directly with the company’s employees and contractors in the UK and globally, ensuring all clients, team members and visitors are well looked after.

Sophie McCreesh joins the West Nautical Team as the new Accounts Assistant. With AAT certificates in accounting and eight years of experience working in both the public and private sectors for charities, educational institutions and the automotive industry, combined with her work ethic and attention to detail, Sophie will be a fantastic fit for the diverse and international world of yachting. She will be working closely with Head Accountant Lee from the companies Gateshead office, assisting with all aspects of financial transactions from cash reconciliations to payroll.
