Italian shipyard Sanlorenzo together with West Nautical, have three new build projects underway. The 52-meter and 56-meter yachts are due to be delivered in 18 months whereas the largest of the three, the 58-meter yacht will be delivered in three years’ time. West Nautical have sold all three of these yachts.
The 56 and 58-meter yachts are adaptations on the 57-steel model, which features a straight bow, five decks and will be between 1000 and 1200 GT in volume. The 52-meter will have a volume of 499 GT.
The upper deck is home to the owner’s suite, which includes a private 215 square meter deck space.
In addition to enjoying an unparalleled 180-degree panoramic view from the suite, there is also an external space at the bow of over 140 square metres, with large sunbathing and relaxation areas and a swimming pool.
The 52 and 56 have a ‘float in’ garage where the main tender drives into the beach club and rests below the main deck pool. Surrounding the area, they will have the floating and towable toys, and in the forward area of the yacht there is a smaller garage where the rescue boat, two jet skis and sea bobs are kept. The 58 has a different layout, with a ‘dry’ beach club and a larger tender garage on the forward area of main deck, where an 8-meter limo tender will be secured along with the rescue boat on the starboard side, two jet skis and seabobs. The beach club will still remain used for the stowage of inflatable and towable toys, and there is a plan for a water slide from the bridge deck.
The beach club, located at sea level, aft of the main deck, is home to a lounge, bar, gym, hammam and 40 square meters of folding terraces providing an outdoor space for guests to enjoy swimming, diving, and sunbathing.
The 52 and 56-Meter yachts will have a traditional shaft drive with normal marine engines and generators, however the 58-meter will have azipod drives powered by diesel electric generators, with a large battery bank for silent cruising and operation with no generators on for a set period of time. The 58-meter yacht is a diesel electric hybrid technology yacht, with a large battery bank for zero emission operations at anchor or for slow speed cruising. This is the latest technology and shows a great investment from both the owner and shipyard to push the boundaries of the ‘norm’ to look into future technologies.
All three yachts will be capable of hosting 12 guests and have an average maximum speed of 16 knots.
