West Nautical are seeking a Technical Assistant to join their project management team in La Spezia.

Working within a department currently overseeing 6 new build projects from 40 to 65 meters, the role is diverse and interesting, where you will gain a lot of experience and work with senior members of the company.

We are looking for someone enthusiastic, energetic and hard working with an attention for detail, and whilst you do not need to have onboard or shoreside experience in a similar role, it would assist your application if you have some shipyard experience.

You will attend shipyard meetings for all projects, be part of builds from start to finish and have scope for personal growth and development, with future promotion opportunities available depending on performance. The role is office based following shipyard working hours, and is a hybrid role of administrative support and surveying, with on-site quality control inspections of all departments and total project oversight.

A EU citizen or resident is preferred due to being a permanent shoreside role in Europe.

Excellent written and spoken English (including nautical technical knowledge) is required, with any level of Italian being a advantage also.
