West Nautical are currently recruiting a Chief Stewardess to join an amazing new build 35m motor yacht in Ancona, Italy.

The position is starting on the 9th January 2023 with interviews being held in December.

The position will be shore based for the final stages of the build in a shared apartment with all accommodation, food and transport paid.

The vessel is in the final stages of the build and is expected to be launched in March 2023 before being delivered to the owners in May 2023, upon delivery the vessel will be world cruising with a programme focussed on diving and exploring the hidden gems that the world has to offer.

The ideal candidate will have good longevity in previous roles and be happy to help other departments when called upon.

This position would be perfect for a 2nd Stewardess from a larger vessel looking to step up to the Chief’s role.

A preference would be given to candidate who have new build experience as there is a lot to get organised interior wise before delivery. The interior department will be made up of the Chief Stewardess and a Junior Stewardess, the vessel will run with 7 crew in total.

The Chief Stewardess needs to be strong in all areas of the role including Housekeeping, Service, Laundry, and Accounts. The vessel itself will be privately operated with the owners predominantly using the vessel on their own with the occasional trip with friends or family, no more than 8 guests onboard at any one time. The owners are very keen on creating a family atmosphere onboard and want crew members to be involved in fishing and diving activities so candidates with an active interest in diving are preferred as the vessel will operate with a full nitrox set up.

The initial itinerary begins in the Western Mediterranean before heading across to Croatia, Montenegro, and Greece. A quick stop off for warranty work later in the year before heading for the Gibraltar straits and hitting the open ocean to head across to the East Coast of USA, through the Caribbean, Central and South America; a transit through the Panama Canal then follows before cruising Galapagos, French Polynesia and onward to the South Pacific.

On offer is a full-time position with a generous salary of $5500 USD per month, 45 days holiday per year including return flight, annual bonus scheme in place, training allowance for professional development and full medical insurance.
