West Nautical are currently recruiting for a Chief Officer 55m MY, Charter/Private. (New Build)

Responsible for the overall running of the ISM, ISPS, MLC, & GMDSS systems on board and their record keeping, in conjunction with the Capt and Chief Eng. Including the running of drills and safety related training and permits to work. Inspecting and servicing on a weekly, monthly, and annual basis the LSA, FFE, GMDSS equipment, ultimately leading to the successful completion of class, flag, and internal audits/ surveys.

Be relied on to run a safe navigational watch and training the deck department.

Be responsible (with the Bosun) for passage planning and keeping the full suite of charts and publications updated using the on board and online systems and teaching the deck crew the same.

Keep deck dept. accounts up to date and inform Capt. of any large budgetary requirements for deck dept.

Qualifications: Chief Mate 3000gt, STCW updated, Valid Eng 1, PBL2

Predominately charter with little Owner use.

Dual Season: Med /Caribbean

Total Crew: 13

Salary: 7500€

Package: 2:1 / MLC Contract

Start Date: December to join the boat in Northern Europe. (Christmas Off)
