Originally built for Malcolm Forbes by De Vries in 1986, the Bannenberg design Feadship was long seen as one of the best-known symbols of big business, cruising the east coast of the USA as a corporate yacht for Forbes magazine. Highlander yacht has a steel hull with an aluminium superstructure with a beam of 8.90m (29’2″ ft) and a 3.00m (9’10” ft) draft. This custom yacht is equipped with an ultra-modern stabilization system which reduces roll motion effect and results in a smoother more enjoyable cruising experience.
Recently purchased by her new owners, Highlander (ex The Highlander) underwent a comprehensive refit at the Derecktor shipyard in Florida, including a full interior relook, lengthening the hull, major mechanicals and full paint.
From Liz Taylor, Robert De Niro and Harrison Ford to Margaret Thatcher, Ronald Reagan and HRH Prince Charles, the guest lists for Highlander reads like a who’s who of the world’s glamorous movie stars and heads of state.
