Explore the sparkling azure waters and colourful coastlines of Sicily, the Amalfi Coast and Naples on a charter with West Nautical.

Day 1 – Palermo, Sicily

Buongiorno Sicilia! Arrive in the capital of the largest island in the Mediterranean. Sicily, with its fascinating history of Greek colonial, Roman province, Arab emirate and Norman kingdom roots will reveal its beauty to you for the next 7 days.

Settle in on your yacht and enjoy refreshments presented to you by the crew. It’s time to start exploring Palermo, Sicily’s capital and the largest city on the island. Visit the town’s famous sites, such as the Piazza Bellini, the Cathedral and the Arab-Norman Chapel in the Royal Palace. There will also be time to enjoy a trip up to Monreale with its spectacular view over the valley outside Palermo.

Head back down to the city and take a stroll through the streets for a little afternoon shopping, before you return back to the yacht.

The evening’s activities are entirely up to you. Whether you stay on board and enjoy sundowner cocktails on the aft deck followed by a delicious dinner prepared by the chef, or you spend the evening ashore for enjoying dinner in one of Palermo’s finest restaurants.

Day 2 – Ustica

With an early breakfast on deck, we will lift anchor and sail towards the little volcanic island of Ustica, about 3.3 square miles in size. This tiny gem is still untouched by tourism and offers you a day of pure leisure and relaxation.

The island’s superb seabed, a protected natural marine reserve, will leave you speechless, as you sail along the coast. Stop at the many grottos along the way for a swim and sunbathing, before you anchor off the small town with its picturesque houses, charming restaurants and cafes.

Do not miss a visit to the interesting underwater archaeological museum. Stop for lunch ashore to savour the local cuisine of intricate Mediterranean flavours. The area around Ustica is recommended to scuba divers and snorkelers with some significant highlights to explore such as the rainbow-colored sponges at Grotta dei Gamberi, as well as the archaeological relics at Punta Gavazzi.

After a day full of interesting discoveries, relax with dinner on deck while heading towards your next destination – the Aeolian Islands.

Day 3 - Aeolian Islands

Enjoy an early breakfast with a view over the mesmerising coasts of the Aeolian Islands, where you will find a vast range of unusual landscapes – from Volcanoes to the quiet, sandy beaches of Salina up to the cliff-top meadows of Lipari.

Time for a swim and to sample a day of ‘dolce far niente’ – the sweetness of doing nothing. Enjoy time onboard, with the many water toys and delicious refreshments served to you on the sundeck.After lunch, head on to Panarea, the smallest island within this archipelago, take some time to visit the natural springs where you can enjoy a mud bath.

If you choose to join in some diving expeditions in the island’s famous diving spots, have the crew arrange it for you with the well-known diving centre ,La Gorgonia in Lipari. Sundowners will be served onboard after yet another memorable day full of excitement and beauty.

Day 4 – Aeolian Islands, Stromboli

Wake up to the ever beautiful view of the Aeolian Islands and enjoy a fresh breakfast on deck while you head off for a day cruising these secluded island gems.Spend your time relaxing and sunbathing, or for those who prefer to dive beneath the water’s surface, scuba diving opportunities are numerous and inviting.

Drop anchor at an isolated bay near Lipari for lunch onboard, before you continue the afternoon with water sports, fishing or snorkelling. For the restless adventurers among you, take the tender ashore and head out to explore the island of Lipari with its narrow and charming streets.

To perfectly end this beautiful day, sail over to the island of Stromboli, also known as ‘The Black Giant’, one of the few still active volcanoes in the world, and take a moment of silent admiration for this unforgettable view. If you are lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of the volcanic eruptions lighting up the firmament. Anchor overnight near one of these enchanting islands before you set sail in the early morning towards your next destination – Ischia.

Day 5 – Ischia - Capri

Ischia is surrounded by peaceful beaches to relax on, but there are plenty of things to do to keep you busy. You can see The Villas La Colombaia and La Mortella, stroll through the botanical gardens, or take in the castle and museum before having lunch in one of the fantastic local restaurants.

Return onboard for 1.5 hours of sailing to the famous island of Capri. Capri offers panoramic views from its rugged steep cliffs and has an array of boutiques and restaurants – and be sure to visit the magical Blue Grotto, which must be booked in advance. The yacht will berth in port and you can wonder ashore to relax by gliding up craggy Monte Solaro on a chairlift for spectacular views.

The second town of Anacapri lies on the slopes of Monte Solaro and offers peaceful surroundings and hiking trails.

​Day 6 – Capri - Ravello - Amalfi

In the morning, the crew will relocate to the South side of Capri and anchor at Marina Picollo for swimming and watersports, before the yacht heaves anchor and sails the 1 hour voyage to the glamorous clifftop town of Ravello.

Ravello is home to a beautiful main piazza, pristine gardens and offers exquisite views from its position 365 meters above the Tyrrhenian Sea. Here you can take in the Villa Rufolo gardens or explore the grand Amalfi Cathedral.

The small but beautiful town of Amalfi lies below steep cliffs and offers sun-soaked piazzas and views of the Amalfi Coast’s stunning blue waters. Dine ashore with amazing views of the sunset over the yacht at anchor.

Day 7 – Amalfi - Positano - Li Galli - Sorrento

Wake at anchor off Amalfi and enjoy the 30 minute sail to Positano, the iconic town perched in the hills of the Amalfi coast, with its narrow paths and streets winding down to the water. The town specialises in lemon products, so be sure to sample some limoncello.

The spectacular Chiesa di Santa Maria Assunta is the main attraction; it offers peace andquiet away from the town and remarkable views across the coast. Afterwards, sail 3 miles to Li Galli, the sublime waters around the island are perfect for a spot of snorkelling and will allow you to take in the outstanding natural beauty before setting off for the hillside town of Sorrento.

Visit the Piazza Tasso and explore the web of streets that branch off it. The yacht will berth in the Sorrento marina, close to many hikes and trails, or for a slower pace, relax in the plentiful rooftop bars where you can enjoy drinks and unrivalled views of the Bay of Naples for your last night onboard.

Day 8 – Sorrento - Naples - Disembarkation

Your last morning begins in Sorrento. Complete your final packing after an enjoyable breakfast onboard - and thank the crew for their hard work over the last week! Depart port at 10:00 for the 1 hour voyage to the bustling city of Naples where you depart the yacht at 12:00.

If time allows before your flight, you can enjoy art and architecture, museums and history – not to mention the best pizza, pasta and espressos Italy has to offer. If time is really on your side you can even hike up Mount Vesuvius, visit the remains of Pompeii or take a train up to Montesanto and walk down to a stunning 14th century fortress.
